Veracity vs Trellus, side by side
Both help the rep while the call is still happening. The biggest difference is which calls. Trellus is the dialer: it places phone calls from your CRM and coaches the rep on them. Veracity runs beside your video meetings and meetings in the room, and builds its questions from what the buyer says.
| Trellus | Veracity | |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Sales teams working through contact lists by phone, from SDR call blocks to recruiting, insurance and real estate | The rep on the call, and their manager |
| What it is | A power and parallel dialer, in its own words "AI dialing and live coaching" | A desktop app for Windows and Mac |
| Where it runs | A Chrome extension on a Mac or Windows computer, inside a supported CRM, sales platform or Google Sheet | On your computer, beside the meeting; nothing joins the meeting |
| Calls it covers | Phone calls in your CRM, sales platform or phone system; its integrations list names no video meeting app | Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Webex and meetings in the room |
| During the call | A live transcript, the newest suggestion on top, pace and talk-time cues, and script guidance matched to the moment | One open question while the buyer is still talking, upgraded with what they said, and answers from your own documents |
| Where the help comes from | Script guidance managers write for each call moment, team or CRM segment | What the buyer just said, your prep and research, earlier calls with the account, and your own documents |
| After the call | A call record for follow-up and coaching, with a call result and summary AI fills in before you log the call | A recap, every question graded with a better sentence, and a rating that moves with your calls |
What the rep sees during the call
Trellus describes its live coaching plainly: it "runs beside supported calls in your CRM, shows a live transcript, keeps the newest suggestion on top and adds pace and talk-time cues." The guidance follows your playbook. Its coaching page says "managers write the guidance for each call moment, team or CRM segment," and admins choose whether that "matched script guidance" shows in a sidebar or as a teleprompt in the dialer. Veracity builds the help from the call in front of you:
- An opening question is ready when the call starts, built from your prep, your research and your earlier calls with the account.
- While the buyer is still answering, it writes one open question of 20 words or fewer, built only on what they said, then upgrades it in place: "You mentioned..."
- Answers come from your own documents, with the files they came from named.
- Nothing on the card changes while you're talking, so a glance is enough.
When Trellus is the right choice
If your reps make outbound phone calls from a CRM or sales platform, Trellus is built for that. Its home page says parallel dialing "calls several and connects the rep when someone answers," and Hot Numbers "ranks eligible contacts by estimated pickup likelihood." Its Virtual Salesfloor lets a team "run call blocks together with live listening and team coaching," and a manager can whisper to a rep on a live call: "once the rep accepts, only the rep hears the manager."
Veracity has no dialer. It is built for the meeting itself: the question you ask next, the answer you give, and a grade on how you did.
Using Veracity with Trellus
Trellus's own site describes B2B SaaS teams running "outbound call blocks and SDR-to-AE handoffs." The two can cover each side of that handoff: the SDR's phone calls in Trellus, and the account executive's discovery call on Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or Webex with Veracity on screen.
Veracity can import transcripts from any recorder (.txt, .md, .csv, .vtt or .srt), so calls recorded elsewhere still feed the opening question and answers on your next call with that account. For managers, Veracity adds team and per-person call scores by week, built from the grades on each call.
